Speedmaster continues to live its Vision statement “Trusted and respected for its people and its products. Globally.” This time having the CDO (Chief Digital Officer), James Domensio recognised in as one of Australia’s “Top 50 People in E-Commerce 2021”.


After joining the team within the last 12 Months, JD (as known to his peers) has made major impact in a short amount of time. “What we have achieved in a short period has been nothing short of phenomenal. Pairing the Boom of Covid and the amazing tech and infrastructure we have in place allowed amazing results after applying intense focus into Digital and Non Digital Channels” Said CEO Jason Kencevski.

 

The Global Pandemic became a fight or flight for many companies. Even with the opportunity presented from increased demand, it highlighted a make or break for companies who can not iterate fast enough to sustain the growth. Failing to do this properly or effectively can cause in-reversal damage. 


“Covid 19 has pushed many companies into uncharted territory in the Automotive Aftermarket space. It created an opportunity to increase market share and sales growth. Our team work on innovative ways to handle the total flip in our “business as usual” at Speedmaster ” Said CEO Jason Kencevski.


With a foundation in HR along with his digital talents, James paired with Erickson Pereira - Chief Technology Officer to bridge the gap caused by the Covid restrictions. “In a very small window we had recruited and onboarded a 33% increase in organisational headcount across multiple US States. The new hires represented a diverse range of talent, some industry veterans in the automotive space and others using technology as the enabler of business success as they learn our industry.” James Domensio Said.

 

Now with Covid 19 Vaccines becoming available it might go back to business as usual, but the Speedmaster team agree the Norm has changed. “After Stress testing our Infrastructure, it’s fair to say we are ready for both today and what the future has hidden around the corner. Covid put the team in a unique position and like in the past we showed our ability to think quick and pivot thanks to the strong rooted values we have built for over 40 years. Our People, Our Products and Our Approach ” Kencevski Said.
