The SFI Foundation, Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation established (initially for SEMA) to issue and administer standards for speciality or performance automotive and racing equipment.

The SFI Foundation has served this industry since 1978 and sets in place a system of developing and administering various standards, certifications and testing criteria for use in motorsports.

The primary users of SFI standards are manufacturers, like Speedmaster. While the manufacturer’s work is regarded, the consumer receives the most benefit from this program in the long run. This system that SFI has created establishes a way to differentiate the quality-assured products from the untested ones.

The SFI program promotes the quality and reliability of the design, manufacture and use of parts, while providing sellers and consumers information to improve purchasing and application decisions. The program provides officials of sanctioning bodies and competitions with reliable references to evaluate products and maintain requirements.

Speedmaster takes a similar approach to the SFI program for all aspects of their business. They utilise their products to create experiences for each individual customer, rather than provide them with run-of-the-mill services. The business’ unique take on things such as CAD designed packaging, thank you notes with every purchase and a knowledgable support team has attributed to Speedmaster’s success in this aspect.

Over the last 9 years, Speedmaster has received 13 awards from SEMA. This is a huge achievement for a company in the 40+ billion dollar automotive industry. Speedmaster is proud of the work they have done to also achieve NHRA approvals for particular specifications. By releasing multiple patents and creating their DNA range, Speedmaster continues to push the boundaries to become a unique player in the market.

SFI has an international presence with approximately 100 members and affiliate sanctioning bodies, and over 300 equipment manufacturers participating in more than 85 specification programs.
